Welcome to Our Campaign

Friends,
Summer is here, and with it vacations, BBQs, and time with your family. Yet, while we relax, our government is pushing this country in a troubling direction - unchecked.

I'm very concerned, as I'm sure you are, about the future. Our economy is in a perilous position. We can see the damaging effects of this recession on our friends, neighbors, and families.

We watch how our representatives in Washington react to this crisis. We see a so-called "stimulus package" that wastes billions of dollars and is not effective as a jobs strategy. We see taxpayer-funded bailouts and handouts to corrupt political allies. And we see our national debt rise to dangerous and unsustainable levels.

The solution to this problem is obvious: the way to improve our economy and create jobs is to reduce federal spending, cut taxes and let people keep more of the money they earn.

Recovery can't start until jobs return and people are working again. And unlike current congressional leadership, I believe the American people can and will turn this economy around - as long as Government stays out of our way!

That's why I will push forward plans to create jobs by lowering income tax rates for working families, cut taxes for small businesses and create incentives for businesses to hire new workers.

This plan would cost less and create more jobs.

Small business is the driving force of our economy. Ours is the greatest country on earth and I believe our best days are ahead of us, but only if we return to the principles that made our country great. I vehemently oppose the big government, big debt, tax-and-spend agenda being forced on us by the Patrick Murphy/Nancy Pelosi congress. Every vote will matter.

Enjoy the summer, but please stay involved, stay informed, and help our campaign. November is right around corner!

Murphy hoards Rangel's $19,000; Murphy has yet to return other tainted funds

LEVITTOWN, PA - Mike Fitzpatrick, Republican candidate for Congress, offered the following remarks regarding Congressman Rangel's pending investigation by the full House Committee on Standards and Official Conduct.

"As I did back in April, I again call upon Congressman Murphy to return the $19,000 of potentially-tainted campaign donations he received from Congressman Rangel," said Fitzpatrick.
